For the most benefits, students should have a basic understanding of matrix theory, state-space representation of linear systems, and probability theory.  Dr. Grewal reviews this material, which for most people is sufficient.  For others, a prior review is helpful.  It's up to you.

Driving:  The Fullerton Marriott Hotel is located about a block west of the intersection of 57 Frwy and the Nutwood exit.  Make a hard right at the hotel entrance to the parking area.  Parking is free.
Airports: 
Los Angeles (35 mi.), Long Beach (15 mi.), and Santa Ana (10 mi) are options.  Shuttles are available at varying rates, depending if you want to share a ride or hire a car all by yourself.  Example rates--http://www.primetimeshuttle.com/airportshuttlelax.htm
Schedule:  Monday through Thursday course days are 9 AM to 6 PM, with informal discussion time when course material has been covered.  FRIDAY, the formal session concludes at noon.  Informal discussion with Dr. Grewal continues in the afternoon, for those who wish to stay.

Other hotels are in the area, but the Chase/Holiday Inn is the most economical choice for those without rental/personal cars.  

Dress: Casual.  Bring a jacket for evenings and to deal with AC variations.
